This is a site composed by a group of European and Chinese individuals who are closely related with Chinese culture. Most of them are translators, sinologists, teachers or businessmen, prepared to share their knowledge and experience with those who seek educational or cultural information about the People's Republic of China.
This site offers translation services, some inside on translation methods and software, information about Chinese education and teaching in China, important literature about China, travel suggestions, Chinese business orientation and news about efficient communication gadgets.
Since communication is the core idea, information is very important. We specifically want to facilitate the search of how to get information, how to get linked with the world, which is getting smaller, though we are still riddled by cultural differences.
Many countries see the People's Republic of China as the future for businessmen, but are unaware of cultural conflicts and political ignorance that many Chinese have to deal with during their country's development, which is very different from Taiwan or Hong Kong. Chinese culture as we know it, is heavily influenced by the latter two democratic regions, while Mainland China's culture has been kept hidden for decades by communism. Under economic pressure, to be part of the rest of the world, this massive country is revealing it's politically altered society, bit by bit. For the sake of good business relationships, the background of a business partner of such a mysterious country is important, not only to know who you are dealing with, but also to make up if your business partner is really feeling comfortable about closing a particular deal.
This site has a non-provocative soul of democracy and the scientific spirit to expand mind, knowledge and most importantly, understanding.
